INSPIRATION

Letting inspo find you

“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working”, Pablo Picasso

I can’t ask Señor Picasso what he meant by that, but my interpretation is that inspiration will find us in its own time. Yet, for it to find us, we need to put in the work, experiment and create as much as we can.

Sometimes, it’s best to leave the desk altogether. Whilst that might sound counter-intuitive, being creative all the time is hard and for new thoughts to enter my mind, now and again I need to unblock it first.

Taking a walk, breathing in the sea air and listening to the sound of the waves is what works for me. It calms me down and energises me at the same time – isn’t it wonderful how nature works?
